My daily supplements routine

My daily supplements routine

Cardio in the morning

I start my day on an empty stomach and drink a full shaker cup with water, after that I have a 15 minute cardio workout on my fitness bike.

Breakfast + supplements

During my breakfast I take Universal's Glutamine powder. The glutamine helps to protect and repair the intestinal wall. At the moment I am “off (improvement) season”, a period in which I eat more so that I have enough strength to train harder. Due to the intake of large amounts of food, it is important that my digestion is optimal so that my body can absorb the nutrients properly.

Evening training + pre-workout and intra-workout

When I train a bit earlier in the day I take Animal Fury which contains caffeine, my favorite flavor is the Ice pop. When I train a little later, I opt for a “non-stim” pre-workout like the Animal Pump Pro. I take the pre-workout with caffeine 30 minutes before my training so that I experience the “peak” exactly 30 minutes into my training.

“My favorite flavor of Animal Fury is Ice Pop.”

During training I take a combination of 10 grams of Animal Juiced Amino's (Grape), 50 grams of Universal's Carbo Plus and 5 grams of Universal's Creatine monohydrate powder. The aminos and the carbo combination ensure that my glucose and insulin increase and make sure my muscle cells can absorb the nutrients better. The creatine provides more energy and a better performance during my training.

After training - post workout

After my training I take a shake of 2 scoops of Animal Whey, 60 grams of carbo plus and a banana that I put in the blender with water or (unsweetened) almond milk. I also eat a bowl of cream of rice. Do you want to know more about my cream of rice recipe? Check out my blog “The post workout meal”.

Before going to sleep I take one last time (20 grams) of Glutamine powder.
